Harald begins making wine out of hybrid grapes purchased from Inniskilln Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario.  His wines were awarded top marks by the Vineland Research station that same year.  In addition, Harald enrolled in a microbiology course at the University of Guelph to understand the chemistry of wine.
